Sunny thoughts...

Just being cute...

Hello again,

I am hoping that writing about a sunny day (only 2 days ago) will make for today to become a sunny day as well! :) It is a cool 54 degrees here with wind blowing and rain threatening. It is a great napping day. But for some reason, I doubt I'll get to take one! :)

Awwww....

Abi is patiently waiting for me to play Mastermind with her and Mikayla is asleep in the swing, her first time in the swing. She had been kind of fussy this morning which is definitely unusual for her. She wanted to eat, but then wouldn't eat... so I figured she was just sleepy. The swing wooed her to dreamland in no time. If I remember to take the camera with me the next time I check on her, I'll snap a picture. She looks adorable! Go figure that one. :)

On Tuesday, the four of us had a fun-filled day... First we had Mikayla's 2week weight check. Her weight is 8 pounds, 13 ounces (up from 8 pounds, 3 ounces about a week earlier) and her length is now 22 inches. She's already added an inch since birth. She does have an oral thrush infection which we are treating with Nystatin. It is a very common infection especially among babies. She takes well to the medicine once we are able to convince her to open her mouth.

The first Rx

After the appointment, the girls and I went to Mohawk with Greg. He had to do some teaching that was only an hour or so... we decided it'd be fun to explore a new town while he taught. We took a stroll to the gas station to get some treats and then had a picnic of sorts on the town green. The pictures I'm posting are of Abi being silly... she was posing as different princesses... See if you can guess who is who! {Good Luck!}.

Blowing a kiss...

Next we went into Herkimer to have lunch and then head home. Mikayla made her first trip to CVS that night... could have been a quick trip (meaning the Rx was a quick one to fill), but can't exactly bring in a new, beautiful baby and expect to escape quickly. While Mikayla and I were at CVS, Abi and Greg were doing some yard work. She Loves to help her daddy in the yard... anything from helping pull weeds to finding Sasha doo.

Speaking of yard work, yesterday they planted the garden. Peas, beans, pumpkins, & sunflowers. I think that is it so far... not sure how that is all going to fit in the small patch that Greg has tilled up, but we'll see! :)

Off to play with Abi... enjoy the pictures!
