As I sit here relaxing on my last day of maternity leave, I find it only fitting that I update the blog a little bit. It is hard to believe that it was nearly 3 months ago that I wrote the 'first day of maternity leave' entry... Time truly does fly when you are having fun!
I have enjoyed SO much the past several weeks. If asked what I enjoyed the most... I couldn't say, but here are a few things on the 'list':
1) Obviously, being home with the girls.
2) Being home for Greg
3) Making supper for my family
4) Organizing a few closets
5) Baking with Mikayla while Abi was at school and Elaina was asleep.
6) Taking Mikayla and Elaina to the library or story hour as often as I could.
7) Cuddling with the girls whenever possible.
8) Being able to spend more than 7 days heading to and from North Dakota
9) Doing the laundry (well, maybe I didn't 'enjoy' it, but I didn't mind it!) :)
I have been reminded over and over thru the girls actions just how blessed I am!
Elaina had her 2 month check-up last week... She is SO petite compared to Abi and Mikayla. At 2 months, she weighs only 9 pounds, 3 ounces (which is still 2 ounces less than Abi weighed at Birth!). This puts her in the 15%. (Both Abi and Mikayla were in the 95% for weight.) Elaina is stretched out though... she is 24 inches long (95%).
It is now time for me to shut my eyes and have sweet dreams. Thinking of my girls just before I fall asleep will definitely help that cause! :) Here is to hoping that Elaina decided to make last night into a pattern and sleeps well. Last night she slept from 9:30ish until 5:30am! It was great, but strange. :)
G'night...
