Baby Pictures

Hi everyone!

We had another doctor's appointment today and thought we'd share some of the pictures. With this appointment, the sono tech gave us a CD with several pictures on it. I was both impressed and happy by this because it means (in theory) posting pictures will be easier and the preservation of the pictures will be easier also.

The appointment went well too. Dr. Feiner said the baby is currently in the 79% of weight based on our dates and that everything is on track as expected. The sono tech said the baby has long legs, but things look good. The baby currently weighs between 1 and 2 pounds.

Our next appointment is 4 weeks away. I get to look forward to the glucose tolerance test, rhogam injection, and complete blood work.

I hope you enjoy the pictures... If you'd like more, please let me know. I'd be happy to email you some. :)

Have a safe and happy new year everyone!
A profile view of the baby... (head to the right, feet to the left). A little blurry because the baby was very wiggly.
A 4-D picture of the baby. Looking at the baby's right side with the hand up by the face.

Facial view with both hands by the face... kind of looks like the left hand has a finger pointing?? The other arm is bent at the elbox with the hand behind the ear.

Weekend Memories

Hi all,

Most that read this blog realize that Thanksgiving weekend is a chaotic one for us... We start the weekend on Thursday with the traditional dinner at Greg's parents house. The weekend continues with a gathering for those that are around on Friday night and then Holmes Family Christmas on Saturday. The Christmas gathering has been at our house the past few years. It is always a fun time, but is exhausting when said and done. :)

I will post a few pictures, but also wanted to point out a change I made to the "Links" section of the page. I have added Jimmy and Stacy's wedding website to the list. Feel free to check it out. I'm sure it will have more information as the day draws closer...

Enjoy the pictures and have a great day!

Love,

Angie :)

Baby Pics of sort...

Hi all,
Greg, Abi, and I had a sonogram appointment this morning. It went very well. The baby's gestation age is officially 17 weeks, 5 days... and the baby's weight is 8 ounces. The sono tech, Monica, said that everything is looking good. She used to work in a high-risk pregnancy clinic so she spent alot of time investigating the chambers of the heart, etc. I thought it was kind of neat because it meant we got to see the baby for even longer! Greg and Abi also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time of which Abi's comment was "Loud". The heart rate was 141 beats per minute... so amazing how fast the heart works when they are this little.

Well, here are pictures of pictures we received today... I'm sorry that the quality isn't great, but unfortunately our scanner has been misbehaving. I hope you are able to make out at least some of the features on the pictures. My favorite is the one where the baby is cuddled up against me... just looks so innocent.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Love,

Greg, Angie, and Abi (and Sasha too of course)

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share the latest pictures of Abi... I have them added at the bottom of the website as a slideshow... let me know what you think.

Some of the pictures are of Abi in her new Princess Hut that Grandma and Grandpa D sent her... She LOVES it! She slept in it last night and tonight... had it downstairs today with her table, Princess chair, high chair with her Baby Kacie.... it was just TOO cute.

Hope everyone is having a great November and has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Kitty for borrow?

Hi everyone...

I just discovered a most upsetting thing... (at least to me)...

A mouse in my garage! ... and for those that do not know, the garage is attached to my house! EWWWW!

I am not pleased about this and I told Greg when we moved in that the first time I see a mouse, we are getting a cat! Of course, that won't really happen... unless Greg doesn't take care of the mouse-situation.

I called my darling softie father-in-law and would you believe all he did was make fun of me?! He thought I was insane for being upset... I know that Aunt Sylvia will feel my agony!

When I spoke with my parents, they weren't much better! I tell you... just because I'm 30 years old, a wife, a Mom of almost 2 children, and a pharmacist that means I have to LIKE having rodents in my house?!?! I think not!

So going back to the title of this entry... anyone have a good mouser they want to let us borrow?

I'll keep you posted on this developing drama.

Big Girl Bed!

Abi has graduated into a big girl bed... She is VERY proud of it and has done great with it so far. She gave Greg a bit of a harder time yesterday at nap time, but I believe that was because she was overtired. Today, she didn't give me any difficulty.

It was pretty cute to have her come out of her room in the morning and come to our bed to wake us up with kisses... Yes, I'm sure that may get a little old if the hour that it happens is too early! :)

October Thoughts

Hello everyone... October, already. I just can't believe we are so far in the year. I think Abi makes time fly by. I'm not sure how she does it, but she must have some connections with Father Time.

I know that it is getting really late in the year when I actually have been thinking of Christmas already. I, as a rule, do not decorate for Christmas until as close to Thanksgiving as possible because I think the holiday is stretched too far... As an example, CVS (and many other stores I've noticed) already have the Christmas decorations out!! YIKES! At least at CVS, we have only a few feet set up... by end of October, I'm sure we will be inundated with Christmas merchandise.

Greg and I booked our flights to North Dakota for Christmas also today. It will be the first Christmas that we have been able to spend with my family in about four years. Of course the trade-off is that we won't be in New York to spend it with Greg's family. Anybody have a plan to rid of the miles between North Dakota and New York? I've been trying to figure it out without hurting the people in those states... I'm thinking there has got to be a way. :)

I am going to post a few pictures of Abi taken in the past couple of months. They are just a hodge-podge of pictures that I think are cute. I hope you agree. :) Let me know what you think of them.

Pumpkin Patch

Abi and I enjoyed a trip to a pumpkin patch this weekend. The owners of the patch are patients of mine and arranged for an extra special pumpkin just for Abi.

She had a great time there and is getting excited about Halloween. I've tried asking her several times what she'd like to be for Halloween, but she doesn't quite get it. :) I am trying to decide if I want to make a costume again like I have in the past... or just go buy one. It's a tough call!

Things here are going very well. Greg has started a part-time Social Studies position employed by Herkimer BOCES. It's about 1/2 an hour from here... give or take. He works a couple of mornings every week and will have different roles including teaching SS to high school kids taking courses for college credit, helping special education teachers with SS curriculum for high special needs students, and teaching those students that are sometimes thought to be "unteachable". This last part sounds most similar to part of his West Fargo position. His clear roles and responsibilities are still evolving, so we shall see. He is certainly excited about having a 'real' Social Studies job and hope that this will open up other opportunities.

Hope everybody is doing great!

Holmes Family Reunion 2007

Some pictures of the family reunion... at Fairhaven Beach State Park on Lake Ontario.

Putting hot air to good use... :)
Awe.... aren't they cute cousins?

I even found a few more...

See how much I don't want to do household chores?!?! :) I found some more pictures that I think are cute.

Gee, who picked out this outfit?

Like my new sleeping bag?

Heidi, what do you think of my 'outfit'?

Some more cute pictures...

I am enjoying a peaceful night in my house... should be doing something productive. You know... cleaning the bathroom, laundry, or some other exciting household task, but I've decided to add to the blog instead. :) Afterall, I did work nearly 10 hours today! :) Is that a good enough excuse?

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Happy 30th Birthday Alicia!

Checking to see how often Alicia checks this site... :) Hope that you have a great birthday and know that the card is sitting here on the counter waiting to be mailed! :(

Adirondack Weekend

This past weekend, Greg, Abi, and I went camping up in the Adirondack Mountains. The campground we stayed at, Moffett Beach, is between one and one and half hours from our house. While the weekend was a little chilly, we had a great time. Abi was content to play in the sand at the beach or with the dirt at our site.

Zoo and Pool Time

Here a couple of pictures of Abi playing with her friend Brianna, who is 3 months younger than Abi.

After long last...

Now that we have a repaired laptop in our possession, I am able to update the blog... finally! Sorry that it's been so long.

We have been having a very busy summer it seems. And now that we have had a couple of cooler days, I am starting to realize that fall/winter isn't that far away either. Yikes!

I hope that everyone is doing great!

Boilermaker

For those not from this area or who haven't heard us talk about the Boilermaker... here are some pictures to illustrate what it is.

The Boilermaker is the nation's largest 15K road race. This year there were 12,000 runners, I believe. You can check out http://www.uticaboilermaker.com/ for more information and details. While I am certainly not a runner, Boilermaker weekend is still fun. On Saturday, the day before the Big race, they have an 8K walk. This year, Greg, Uncle Gordie, Abi, and I walked it. Anybody want to come join us next year?

Our spectators... :)

Bev and I (along with many others) handing out water & ice to the runners... We are at mile number 6 or so.

Jim heading to Abi for a much-deserved drink of water.

Look at the cups on the ground... an indication of how much water/ice handed out. (& this is only one water station)

It was a fun weekend, all in all. If anyone is interested in walking or running the race next year, we'd be happy to provide a place to sleep, transportation, and moral support! :) Oh, and for those that like beer, the runners get free Saranac beer after the race. Personally, I can't imagine running more than 9 miles and find that beer would taste good, but what do I know? I certainly haven't run 9 miles before!

Enjoy the week!
