Awesome Christmas Gift

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd share with you the gift my darling husband gave me... No surprise for you, but it brought me to tears (good ones, of course).

Merry Christmas!

Cleaning pics...

Remember when I said Abi likes to clean off the microwave cart and lazy susan? Well, here is the proof. :)

Hawkeye... literally

Hello again...

This time I'm going to write about Greg. :) Yesterday while I was slaving away at work as I do almost every Tuesday, Greg was home with our beautiful little girl... mind you, he was slaving away as well. He just had cuter company. :) I had done a good job of destroying our kitchen on Monday with holiday baking. Greg was nice enough to recover the kitchen for me... he's a good house-husband.

Anyway, that's now what the point of this posting is... Greg looked outside our back window and saw a hawk in our tree. He managed to get this picture before it flew away. He said he tried to get a picture of it from our bedroom since it would have been a straight-on shot, but it had gone by the time he got upstairs. Nonetheless, I thought this was kind of cool.

Have a great day everyone!

Santa Visit

Well, today was Abi's visit with Santa... it was short and sweet. Thankfully Abi did not cry when sitting on Santa's lap, which was better than the 6 or 7 year old named Tyler that was standing in line. He apparently didn't want to tell Santa about the trains he wanted for Christmas. Anyway, as I said, Abi didn't cry, but didn't smile either. Greg and I were indeed the parents doing sort of silly motions in the middle of the mall in order to try and get Abi to smile. :) Oh well, I'm sure it's not the first time I'll make a fool of myself for the sake of my daughter. . . nor the last.

Here is the picture from her first visit... Maybe next year she can articulate what she wants for Christmas. Or maybe she'll be the one crying. Time will tell.

Cute Baby

I thought I'd try out the picture uploading.. and what better to show off than a gorgeous baby girl? :)

I think this picture is priceless. It shows alot of how Abi is. She is a smiley baby... as long as she's not tired or hungry. Qualities very similar to her mommy.

I'll try to post more pictures... this seems to load faster than Kodak Gallery.

Chilly Days

Gracious, is it ever cold in Upstate New York! Yesterday morning when taking Sasha for a walk, I honestly felt as though I was in North Dakota again. :) Sasha doesn't seem to care what the temperature is... as long as she gets her walk.

Life has been busy around here. Busy doing what? This and that. It's amazing how much time and energy this and that can take! We, of course, are getting ready for the holidays which will be very entertaining with Abi. She is pretty good, so far, about avoiding the Christmas tree. She does play with a few of the lower ornaments and really likes the bows and curling ribbon on the packages. It's pretty neat to see her so captivated by such simple items.

Another part of Abi's daily routine is to empty off a shelf of an old microwave cart. We have the cart in the dining room to serve as a second pantry of sorts. It has microwave popcorn, chips, plastic cups, etc. She takes great pleasure in clearing the shelf. The other day, while I was baking and making supper, Abi also rearranged my Lazy Susan. Apparently, she didn't feel the Jell-O boxes belonged on the bottom shelf... or the cookie sprinkles... or the shortening. Oh well. We let her explore as long as it's safe and we put the stuff back later. Who knows? It may just end up being neater than before!

I need to stop this typing and attempt to be productive. Greg has started a fire in our fireplace... I think sitting in front of it will be a great place to work on Christmas cards.

Thanks for reading... talk to you soon!

An attempt at something new...

Hey everyone!

I am attempting something new in the computer world... something that could prove to be scary as well as entertaining. :) Thanks to DP and Cassie's blog, I thought I'd try one out. They are far better writers than I, but I hope to share with you stories of our lives. I'm sure that they will not be keeping you at the edge of your seats, but hopefully, they'll bring smiles to your faces.

So please stay with me as I learn the ways of a blog. :)

Thanks for reading... Angie
