Few pics...

Hello,
I hope that everyone is doing great! Things here are going well... We are getting ready for our first camping trip as a family in a camper! We are very excited about it... I'm excited about not sleeping on the ground and having a place to put things. It should be a fun trip. The only sad part is that I have to come back this way on Thursday night to work on Friday (boo, hiss). Oh well, if that's the worst that life hands me... I'm doing pretty darn well.
Anyway, in prepping for the camping trip, I loaded the pictures off the camera and had some really good ones of Abi. (hard to pick just a few)
One is of Abi attempting to be upset... She was upset about something. She really wanted something off of the table that was not appropriate for her to play with... So, as awful parents as we are, we captured the moment on camera!!
Another is of her spaghetti dinner... enough said.
One is of Abi and I enjoying a book together... "Richie and the Baby". It is one of her favorites I think. It's an autographed copy by the author... although I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do it with why she likes it. :)
The last is just a super cute one of her in her summer look.

Summer Happenings...

Hi everyone!
It is a beautiful midweek day here in Upstate New York! The temperature is about 83 degrees with a slight breeze and lots of sunshine.
There isn't much to report from the last entry, but figured I'd post a few pictures for you to enjoy...

The top picture is of the shelf Greg made to put on top of our bookshelves... Greg has about 80 mugs on top there (which is NOT all of them!) :) He did a nice job on the shelf though.

The picture of the sky is supposed to be of a rainbow. It was a gorgeous rainbow when I went out to get the mail, but the time I got the camera alot had disappeared.

Abi looks pretty proud with her ice cream cone, huh? Would you believe that is what is left of a 'baby' sized cone?!?! Imagine what Greg's medium looked like then!

The last picture is of Jen and Tim's boys with Abi in front of the organ at Great Grandpa's.

High speed make a difference?

Hi everyone!

It's been eons since I've had a successful upload onto this without hours of agitation. :) Okay, so maybe not hours, but minutes at least.

Greg and I now have DSL, so I'm going to try this one more time. I am also in the process of creating a website thru our DSL provider... figured 'why not?' since it's free. :)

Abi has been changing so much lately. I can't hardly believe it was more than 2 years ago that I found out we were pregnant! Oh goodness!

One of the things that is changing the most is her vocabulary. While she is -finally- starting to make the 'ma-ma-ma' sound, she still doesn't say 'mama' towards me. :( However, she CAN say "Dada", "Sasha", "doggy", "fishy", "kitty", "thank you" (okay, she tries... nobody else probably knows she is saying it, but... ) "hi", ... hmmm, what else? Can't remember at the moment.

Things here have been hectic at times. This weekend was my first one off in four weekends. I was very glad to have it off. Unfortunately, work did make for some stressful moments though. As you may or may not know, there is currently a pharmacist shortage in the nation... and that is evident by the number of 'holes' in our district alone. I'm thankful that I had plans this weekend. As it turns out, I could have worked Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (some in more than one store if I was able to clone myself.)... I have a tough time saying 'no' if I don't have actual plans although I know spending time with my family is a very important thing-to-do.

This weekend was Boilermaker weekend in Utica. The Boilermaker is "America's largest 15K run". There were almost 9500 runners (nope, that's not a typo) that completed the race this year. Prior to the big race, Greg, Abi, Aunt Sue, Uncle Gordie, Jim, and I walked the 8K walk. We finished the 5 miles in 1 hour 25 minutes. It was a nice walk. As for the race, my father-in-law finished it in 1 hour 38 minutes. This is his ninth year running the race and really enjoys it. We all think he is crazy, but encourage him nonetheless. :) Next year is the 30th Anniversary of the Boilermaker... anyone interested in walking or running? Check out www.uticaboilermaker.com for more details. Greg and I would be happy to have company that weekend. :) Btw, Greg and I will not be running.

As for other big news... we have a couple of vacations planned for this summer. Our first big outing is to go to the Holmes Family reunion (as we do every year). This year will be different because we have a pop-up camper! No tenting it for us. :) Greg may be disappointed about that, but he'll have enough other fellow campers to assist that he'll be able to put his Eagle Scout skills to good use. I think we'll enjoy having the camper. I'm really hoping that Sasha won't be able to get herself out of the camper like she did out of the tent last year... or if she does, hopefully I'll hear the door close behind her. :) Last year, Houdini dog got herself out of our tent... She nudged her nose into the point where the three zippers met and unzipped the vertical zipper. Anyway, enough of that story... back to the vacations. Then in August, we get to travel to California to spend time with my parents and brother and his family. We are really looking forward to it. I have been trying to introduce Abi to some of the Disney characters, but honestly, she doesn't really care. :) She is more intrigued by a bowl of ice and a spoon. What can I say? She is easily entertained! (Let's hope I say that after the flight from Washington Dulles to LAX.) I'll have lots of pictures to share from that vacation. So, mark your calendars! :)

Well, I think you are brought up to date... or at least closer. Enjoy the pictures (I hope)!

Love,
Angie
