Birthday Girl

For those that do not know... Abi turned two today! Hard to believe that she is already two... She had her doctor's appt this am and got a perfect bill of health. She is at 50% for weight (weighing 26.6 pounds), 95% for height (stretching to 35 1/2 inches), and 90% for head circumference (49.4 cm).

Here are some pics of her opening gifts from Grandma and Grandpa D. I'll post more later when she opens the rest of her gifts.

Enjoy!

Abi's first creme egg... Needless to say, it was a hit!

And a sticky one... :)

Have a great day everyone!

Love,

Angie

New Wheels!

Here is the newest member of our family... after living a long life, the 1990 Ford Ranger truck has finally died. Here is the replacement. :) Any thoughts?

Oh and btw, it has a sun/moon roof (I am not sure of the difference) AND keyless entry... Talk about fancy, huh ? :)

Later,

Angie

More Snow Pictures

The view from our back yard toward the patio... the lump to the right of the sliding doors is our grill. :) I don't think we'll be using that for awhile.

Here is the view of our outdoor fireplace...
And a not-so-good picture from the front of our house... It gives you an idea of what it looks like, at least.

We'll try to get more pictures tomorrow.

Snow & More Snow

Today we are officially snowed in!

Last week we experienced a 'Lake Effect' week. In 7 days time, we received almost 30 inches of snow. That is nothing compared to the 100+ inches that the Oswego area received. It's a pretty amazing sight, nonetheless.

Since getting off of work at 9pm last night, we have received about 16 inches of snow (that was as of 2 hours ago and it still hasn't stopped snowing.) Greg and I snowblowed the driveway around noon. I have a couple of pictures that show how it was before I started.

Believe it or not, that is our driveway... I took the picture while standing in the garage.

Our mailbox is just on the other side of the road. (yep, that's a road!) :) Actually, it has been very well maintained so far... it's just that the snowbank is so deep at the end of our driveway, you can't tell there is a road.

The following pictures are from the backyard...

I'll post more pictures later. Anybody want to come for a visit?

Tub Time!

Wild hair woman! :)

Here are a couple of pictures of Abi taking her first bath in the new tub. I'm sure you can see how much she enjoys it. :) Also, check out the depth of the water for her... This tub is definitely bigger than her last tub. I'm sure she'll enjoy the extra space quite a bit as she gets older.

Super Bowl Sunday

How is everyone's Super Bowl Sunday? Ours has been uneventful, really. I am watching the game, hoping that the Bears make a push ahead of the Colts so that my dad will be a bit more relaxed... Although, the Bears winning... would that make him more relaxed??? It's so hard to say!

The first two pictures I'm posting tonight are from Abi's make-shift tub... I woke up this morning and attempted to take a hot, relaxing shower. To my dismay, we appear to be having some hot water issues. :( I had warm water after about 10 minutes of water running and then it was cold before I got my shampoo rinsed out. It has been that way all day today with all sinks... so tomorrow, Collis will be getting a phone call. They installed a hot water tank thingy last year and said "You'll never run out of hot water again." Hmmm... Never sure seemed to come awfully fast! I hope that it is an easy fix... not exactly how I want to spend our tax return. :) Anyway, my point about the pictures was that b/c we couldn't have hot water for Abi's shower, we opted to give her a bath in our kitchen sink. As you can probably tell, she had a great time. We were heating water on the stove in pots to add to the sink... Almost as if we were camping.

and here... is the progress on the bathroom! Greg has succesfully grouted and sealed the floor. He is working on the tile now, as you can tell. We are anxious to see how it turns out. I am a bit nervous that it will be 'institutional white', but I'm sure once we add towels, etc... it will tone that down a bit. We shall see. :)

This is just a super cute picture of Abi... I had fun playing with some of my photo-editing software. I love this picture b/c (if you look closely enough), you'll see that she is looking OVER her glasses. She had to have them on because it was 'bright' (as she says it). But for some reason she was looking over them, rather than thru them. Crazy kid!

And here are some pictures of her first-ever trip to Chuck E. Cheese's. I think she had a pretty good time, but didn't know quite what to make of it. I'm sure she'll figure it out before too long. :)

Future dentist?

Hope you are all doing well! Time to go watch a movie. :)
Love,
Angie
