Happy December!

December already?! I cannot believe it... I have been thinking about updating the blog since our vacation in October. Yep, October. Granted, the vacation was at the end of October, but I'm still super slow at this...

1) The above mentioned vacation took place... we went to the highly exotic and unusual destination: North Dakota. :) Exotic maybe isn't an accurate term, but unusual is. I don't know many (or any) people that travel to ND in late October. Even my patients ask me why I go there at that time of year. Obviously, they don't know my family and friends. If they did, they'd understand.
We had a great time there. Mikayla made her first flight without any problems. She didn't cry, whine, or even whimper during any of the flights. On our return flight from Minneapolis to Albany, Mikayla slept from before take-off to after landing at Albany which is about 3 hours. To make it even better, Abi slept for a large chunk of it as well.

2) Halloween. Abi has finally figured out what Halloween is... She had 3 occasions to dress up in her costume: 1) at her pre-school Halloween party, 2) the trick-or-treating at the mall, and 3) actual Halloween. For her preschool party and Halloween, she dressed up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. For the mall trick-or-treating, she dressed up in her flower girl dress from Stacy's wedding.

Abi as "Belle" and Mikayla as a dalmation. Sorry about the lack of rotation... it won't let me correc it for some reason. :(

3) Beginning of November brought another mini-vacation for us... My parents came into town and we escaped for a day trip to Boston. It was a very quick trip, but it was fun. For those that haven't been to Boston, I'd recommend it. We only managed to see the U.S.S. Constitution and the U.S.S. Constitution museum (a free, hands-on museum) as well as a bus tour of Boston with a stop at the Quincy Market. We are planning another trip to Boston next spring as the Sox take on the Mets... Go Mets! :)

4) While my parents were here, Mikayla was baptized. It was great to be able to have them here for it. Mikayla did great, of course. She even slept thru most of the experience. :)

There is more to share, but it's getting late... I at least have you all caught up to the beginning of November. :)

Try to enjoy the holiday season... remember to sit back and relax a little.

And to finish this entry...
