updating this blog on a more timely fashion!
I really do need to figure out a way to get my thoughts down onto this website without having to type them. ;) Often times I think of something that is 'blog worthy', but am too busy enjoying that blog-worthy moment or quite honestly, just not in the mood to type.
So much has happened and changed since I last wrote...
Of course, Elaina changes on a daily basis. She smiles and coos with ease now. My favorite smile is what I call her "pop-out-the-paci" smile. I love watching the corners of her mouth curl as she starts to smile which causes the pacifier to fall out then the smile grows even more.
Peek-a-Boo!
I have now been back to work for 3 weeks... I have to say while I wish I were home, the adjustment has gone fairly well. Of course, it helps greatly that I leave the girls either with my father-in-law or with Greg. I am not leaving them with someone I just met or have any concerns about. Going to work in Little Falls rather than Clinton has also made the adjustment easier too... I have the time, usually, to relax a little during the day by eating a lunch AND a dinner if I choose. I also have been able to successfully pump 3 times during my shift... in Clinton, I was hard-pressed to get to do it twice.
The school year is winding down here now too. I think going to work this summer will be more difficult... knowing that everyone will have a day off to do what they choose. Abi is looking forward to summer vacation to 'go to the beach' and to 'go camping'. Abi has 2 weeks left of swimming lessons, 3 weeks left of gymnastics and soccer, and about 3 weeks left of school as well.
Mikayla is far less concerned about the end of school-like events. To a 3 year old, things just happen... She knows on Fridays, she has school (which tomorrow is the last class)... she knows that Wednesday is 'nastics (which ends in 3 weeks). Her swimming will be over in 2 weeks as well.
I am going to close this writing part now... the next post will be just of pictures. Hope you enjoy!
