Our trip to Boston with Chad, Meliss, and Zach was ALOT of fun. If anybody has a chance to get there, I strongly recommend it. While we were there, we checked out the infamous Fenway Park. We took a tour of Fenway and were able to sit upon the Green Monster, hear some history of the Park, and appreciate the beauty of a great day at the park. We also saw the Mets play the Red Sox... and although the outcome was not the way we hoped (as Mets fans), it was a good game. We had AWESOME seats on the first base foul line just a few feet from the foul pole. The awesome seats also came with another true baseball experience: a rain delay that even included a bit of hail. :)
We also managed to check out the New England Aquarium. The aquarium was extremely crowded. Abi and Mikayla really enjoyed the experience, but would have preferred being able to move a little easier. Abi was even able to touch a few of the animals which she thought was neat, of course.
There are more stories from Boston to share, but... We had such a good time and am proud to say that we even mastered the Boston T (i.e. subway system). It is super easy and very user friendly.
The week after Boston, Abi completed her school year... and "Moved Up" from the 3 year old class to the 4 year old class. :) She really, really enjoyed her school and is already talking about when she goes back next year.
The next part of our summer to share is the main reason that I have delayed posting. Greg's younger brother, Kevin, passed away on June 18 just 3 days shy of his 31st birthday. Most of my readers are aware of this, but I don't feel as though I can post without mentioning it. It has been a hard time for all of us without a doubt, but we are a strong family and together we will manage.
As I am struggling to have the pictures be placed where I want them to appear and this a sort of long post, I am going to take a break... I'll try to continue again tonight.
Give someone you love a hug...
