Happenings

Happy Saturday to all!

I have a few minutes to write as both Abi and Mikayla are napping. That is a great thing, but the problem is it is almost 6:30 at night! My only concern is how late are they going to be up tonight... oh well, naps were needed and I even snuck one in also. A rare treat for sure!

Since last posting, we went for a drive. A long drive. We had a North Dakota vacation which we were fortunate enough to even experience a blizzard while there! :) I have to say that for the past 6 years, no matter how snowy things get around here... they never quite match up to a ND blizzard. Thankfully we made it to ND before the interstates were closed and before the weather got any worse. The girls were great travelers and we managed to make the trip in about 26 hours or so. The overnight drive made a difference on our progress. I use to think my parents were crazy for leaving in the middle of the night to go to my grandma's in Illinois. Now, I understand it more. I still think they are crazy, but not for that reason. he, he.

The visit was a nice one, but too short. I still have the pictures in the camera, so when they get downloaded, I will post a few.

I have been in the process of organizing some pictures and such. In the process I came across a picture of Abi that I will post. Check out the picture from a previous post of Mikayla crawling up the stairs. It's interesting to see the similarities and differences, at least to me. :)

Enough for now... hope everyone is healthy, safe, and dry!

We are keeping those in the flood zones in our thoughts and prayers.
